Common Tasks #

This guide covers the most frequent tasks you’ll perform when using inPIPE for your marketing tracking. Use these quick references to accomplish common activities efficiently.

Creating UTM Links #

To quickly create properly formatted UTM links:

  1. Go to inPIPE → Tools → URL Builder
  2. Enter your website URL and UTM parameters
  3. Click Generate URL
  4. Copy the generated link for your marketing campaigns

Checking Campaign Performance #

To see how a specific campaign is performing:

  1. Navigate to inPIPE → Reports → Campaigns
  2. Use the filter to select your campaign
  3. Set the desired date range
  4. View the performance metrics and charts

Finding Your Top Traffic Sources #

To identify your most effective traffic sources:

  1. Go to inPIPE → Reports → Sources
  2. Sort by total visits
  3. Note which sources bring the most valuable traffic
  4. Drill down on top sources for detailed analysis

Exporting Data for Presentations #

To export data for team meetings or client reports:

  1. Navigate to the report you need
  2. Configure filters to show relevant data
  3. Click Export in the top right corner
  4. Choose your preferred format (CSV, PDF, Excel)
  5. Download or email the report

Comparing Campaigns #

To compare multiple campaign performances:

  1. Navigate to inPIPE → Reports → Comparison
  2. Select the campaigns you want to compare
  3. Choose metrics for comparison
  4. Set the date range
  5. View the side-by-side comparison charts

Troubleshooting Missing UTM Data #

If UTM parameters aren’t being tracked properly:

  1. Go to inPIPE → Tools → Diagnostics
  2. Run the UTM tracking test
  3. Verify that Pretty Permalinks are enabled
  4. Check that no other plugins are stripping URL parameters
  5. Test with a sample UTM link in an incognito browser window

Adding New Team Members #

To give colleagues access to inPIPE data:

  1. Create a WordPress user account for them
  2. Navigate to inPIPE → Settings → Users
  3. Find their user account in the list
  4. Assign the appropriate role (Administrator, Editor, Viewer)
  5. Save your changes
