Overview #

The inPIPE free plugin controls and manages the Transmute Engine service on your WordPress site. This guide walks you through activating your subscription so your events begin streaming into BigQuery.

Once activated, your Transmute Engine unlocks premium features and starts sending your WordPress events into your private BigQuery dataset.

How to Activate Your Subscription #

Step 1: Open the inPIPE Plugin #

In your WordPress admin dashboard, locate and click on the inPIPE link in the main WordPress menu (left sidebar).

Step 2: Navigate to the Subscription Tab #

You can access the subscription settings in two ways:

  • Click the Subscription tab inside the inPIPE plugin interface
  • Use the direct link: https://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=inpipe-admin&tab=subscription

Replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name.

Step 3: Locate the Activation Section #

Scroll down to the Activate Your Subscription section on the Subscription tab.

Step 4: Enter Your Subscription Key #

Enter the subscription key you received in your welcome email. The key will start with SER (e.g., SER-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX).

Where is my subscription key? Check your email inbox for the welcome email. The subject line will be similar to “Your Transmute Engine Subscription” or “Welcome to Transmute Engine”.

Step 5: Click Activate Subscription #

Click the Activate Subscription button to begin the activation process.

Activation Process #

Once you click the activation button, the system will automatically:

  1. Verify your subscription key with our servers
  2. Download and install premium features
  3. Update your plugin configuration
  4. Connect your site to your private BigQuery dataset

During this process, you will see toast messages (pop-up notifications) displaying the progress of each step.

Page Reload After Activation #

After the activation completes successfully, the page will automatically reload to display your premium features.

If the page does not reload automatically:

On Mac: #

  • Press Shift + Command + R (hard refresh)

On Windows/PC: #

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + R (hard refresh)
  • Or press Ctrl + F5

On Linux: #

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + R (hard refresh)

After Activation #

Once your subscription is activated, the inPIPE plugin will now display:

  • Premium features unlocked and accessible
  • Your BigQuery outPipe connected and ready
  • Advanced Transmute Engine settings
  • Your subscription status and expiration date

Next Steps #

Your BigQuery dataset is already set up, so there are no analytics credentials to enter. To start collecting data:

  1. Make sure tracking is switched on (see below)
  2. Browse your site to generate some events
  3. Check the Events tab to confirm events are being sent
  4. Explore your data with AI

Making Sure Tracking is Switched On #

After activating your subscription, you need to ensure that tracking is enabled so events can be sent to BigQuery.

Where to Control Tracking #

Tracking in Transmute Engine is controlled in two key areas:

1. outPipes Area #

Each individual outPipe (data destination) has its own tracking toggle:

  • Navigate to the outPipes section in your inPIPE plugin
  • Make sure your BigQuery outPipe is enabled
  • You can selectively turn outPipes on or off without affecting others

2. Master Switch in Settings Tab #

There is also a master tracking switch that controls all tracking globally:

  • Go to the Settings tab in your inPIPE plugin
  • Look for the main tracking on/off toggle
  • This master switch controls whether any tracking occurs
  • Even if individual outPipes are enabled, tracking will not work if this master switch is off
  • Important: Make sure this is set to ON for tracking to function

Viewing Event Activity #

To verify that tracking is working and see what events are being sent:

  • Navigate to the Events tab in your inPIPE plugin
  • Here you can view real-time event activity
  • See which events are being triggered
  • Monitor which outPipes are receiving events
  • Troubleshoot any issues with event delivery

Quick Checklist:

  1. Subscription activated
  2. BigQuery outPipe enabled (in outPipes area)
  3. Master tracking switch ON (in Settings tab)
  4. Events visible in Events tab

Troubleshooting #

Activation key not working? #

Double-check that you have copied the entire key from your email, including the SER- prefix. Ensure there are no extra spaces before or after the key.

Activation fails with error message? #

Make sure your WordPress site has a stable internet connection. The plugin needs to communicate with our activation servers. If problems persist, contact support with your subscription key.

Premium features not appearing after activation? #

Perform a hard refresh of your browser (see instructions above). If features still do not appear, try logging out of WordPress and logging back in.
