Overview #
Every purchase you make from the Manage Subscription modal — outPIPE addons, event packs, and plan upgrades — is processed through Stripe, the same payment provider used by millions of businesses worldwide. inPIPE never sees or stores your payment card details.
The Checkout Flow #
- Click the action button on a card in the Manage Subscription modal — for example Upgrade Subscription, Pay $X now, or Upgrade to {plan}.
- A new browser tab opens with the Stripe checkout page. Your original tab stays open so you do not lose context.
- Enter your payment details on the Stripe page and confirm the purchase.
- Stripe redirects the new tab back to your inPIPE admin area with a confirmation message.
- The original tab also reflects the change once the purchase is registered.
Why a New Tab? #
Opening Stripe in a new tab keeps your inPIPE session intact. If something goes wrong on the Stripe side, you can simply close the Stripe tab and you are back where you started — nothing has been lost or charged.
What if I Close the Tab Mid-Purchase? #
If Stripe has already taken payment when you close the tab, your purchase still completes. Stripe sends a notification to inPIPE in the background that finalizes the change to your subscription, regardless of whether you saw the redirect. You will see the new state on your next page load in the admin area.
If you closed the tab before entering payment details, no charge is made and no change to your subscription happens.
Confirmation Toasts #
When you return from Stripe, a toast notification appears at the top of the inPIPE admin area:
- Event pack purchased — your event allowance has been topped up.
- Plan upgraded — your new plan is active.
- Outpipe addon purchased — your additional integration slots are available.
Managing Existing Subscriptions #
To update your payment method, download invoices, or cancel an add-on, use the Stripe billing portal — accessible from the inPIPE admin area. Returning from the billing portal also lands you back in the admin with your changes already applied.
Troubleshooting #
| Issue | What to do |
|---|---|
| Stripe page does not open | Check your browser’s pop-up blocker. The new tab is opened by your click on the action button — most browsers allow this, but strict pop-up settings may need an exception for seresa.io. |
| Card declined | Stripe shows the reason directly on its checkout page. Try a different card or contact your card issuer. |
| Purchase succeeded on Stripe but not reflected in inPIPE | Wait a minute and reload the inPIPE admin page. If the change is still not reflected, contact Support with your Stripe receipt. |
